FUMING!!!!

Thisstory makes me want to reach through my computer screen and strangle this dirty low person, I'm sorry but he's a complete and utter creep! I seriously hope he goes to Hell, now and in the future. He's sick in the head and what he did should haunt him for years! I cannot believe this story and I live in fear of something like this EVER happening to another child again. It's inhumane and unjust and wrong and hideous. I am sick to my stomach about it and I seriously want to shoot the guy myself, and the wife for not letting this child and her family be together. I'm judging quickly, yes, but who hasn't? This guy needs to be tortured just like what he put this poor poor child/young adult through.

Thank Heaven she finally had the courage to speak up. Who knows how long this would have gone on?

Dum, Dum, Dum-Dum.

Yep. Tomorrow marks 8 WHOLE years! Yes, with Jason. :)

No seriously, there are times when I wonder why he still hangs around me.

I love you more and more and more and more Mag! Happy Anniversary!

Now, let's party!

*Sigh*

This is for all the girls who've always told me how jealous they are of my height. I'd LOVE to be able to wear boots like these but I feel like I will tower over not only MY HUSBAND, but most men and woman alike. Almost too awkward to try.

Almost.

Too bad I don't have a hundred bucks burnin in my pocket.

Hmmmmmm, Christmas is coming up....right?

The saddest thing.

The other day, out of nowhere, Lesee comes up to me and says, Mom, how come nobody says that I'm pretty? Everybody tells Allie how cute she is and no one tells me I'm pretty.

Excuse me while I wipe my tears. Gimme a minute.

Shocked and dismayed, I took her little face in my hands and I looked into her beautiful brown-green eyes and told her. Ellyse, you are beautiful! She hasn't said a word about it since but holy crap what a kicker in the pants! I know that little Allie is darling but look. Look at this face, how could something so beautiful think she wasn't?
I'm asking a favor, if you see E anytime soon, will you make it a point to tell her that she's THE MOST BEAUTIFUL KID IN THE WORLD? Okay, okay, so you don't have to go THAT far, but at least a little bit? Please?
What a major reminder to me to beef up the compliments in the house. Yikes.

DO NOT USE THIS STUFF!

Palmolive ECO + phosphate free autmatic dishwahing gel is the culprit. I can not believe what's happened to our pots, some of our plastics, and some silverware. I just barely switched to this stuff and so I'm pretty sure that this is the culprit. My mother-in-law has also tried this stuff and said that the same thing happened to some of her dishes as well. In this photo, the pot on the right is the "cleaned" pot. The one on the left is the one that was affected by the same liquid and I scrubbed and scrubbed with Soft Scrub and lots of elbow grease to get it looking like it does. I'm thinking I need to get in touch with Palmolive and let them know.

Our..Summer's-not-over-yet activites

Lately, we've had some cooler weather and it was a reminder to me that fall is right around the corner. It made me realize that we only have like 2 weeks left to enjoy the summertime outdoor pools during the week. And only 3 more weeks till Ellyse starts Kindergarten. AAAAAAAHHHHHHH! Where did the summer go? So, I decided to do some of the things that summertime makes possible this week.
Tuesday, we went to the Clearfield Aquatic Center for the first time ever. They have a neat facility! They have indoor pools and slides and a diving board, lap pools, and a kiddie area, as well as a lazy river type thing all inside. Outside, they have a kiddie pool and a splash pad too. Unfortunately, I failed to get photo's of the indoor stuff. If you have a happening's book, there's a coupon in there for 50% off up to four admissions. We got in for only $4.13! Sweet!
They have some funny rules at this pool. And they stick to them pretty strictly! I guess Allie was about 8 months too old to be in the swing but we didn't find that out till the Nazi lifeguard came and told us. Inside, they wouldn't let you even start the ascent to the big slide until the same Nazi lifeguard gave you the okay from the ground. I guess I should be happy that they enforce the rules but some things are worth letting go.
Cleanliness is next to Godliness. Allie takes great care of her lounger, making sure it is properly cleaned before she sunbathes.
Monday night we also took the time to go on a beloved bike trailer ride. I really enjoy these rides as do the girls.

FYI. The scar on Allie's face is from the treadmill. Poor girl!

Summer has not ended yet! Yay for summer!

Sitting here..being lazy.

On Tuesdays, I usually go up to my mom's and clean her house with my girls. It gives me a chance to have some alone cleaning therapy time as well as a chance for my girls to spend some time playing with grandma C. I want them to have a great relationship with her as she is not always home so often. I cherish these Tuesdays so much. My mom is amazing and I want my kids to learn that for themselves.

Well, so as an example of how wonderful she is, she fancied my request for them to stay overnight last night. I usually babysit on Wednesdays and the girls I babysit are not in town right now so it was a rare occasion when E won't have school or friends coming over to play.

When I told E about the sleep over, she COULD NOT get her overnight bag out of the closet fast enough. Give you an idea of how well grandma treats them? As I was doing my hair, E even brought me clothes that she could wear the next day. She even asked how many days she could stay there. Two days Ellyse. Only two days? But do I get to stay two nights? No, one's quite enough for dear old granny. But you said two days mom. Yes, two days. Today and tomorrow. Two days? but you can't pick me up until late tomorrow then.

Should I be worried that she's trying to get away from us?

So, here I am lounging in bed on a Wednesday morning at 10 AM. Yep. You can stop drooling now. Yesterday afternoon, I even got to go shopping without children in toe. I know, now you want to throw something at me. We even got to go see a dear friend of mine's wedding reception. Sadly, I forgot my camera but she looked amazing and it was wonderful to see such familiar faces at the reception!

It's amazing how quickly you miss your children when they're not pestering you every minute for something.

Thanks to my madre for her love and support and help with the chillins.

I'd better get off my rear and get something productive done with all this time on my hands. Oh, the possibilities! I'm thinking about detoxing the toy room. I wonder if E might never want to stay overnight again.

Laughed so hard, I cried.

Did I mention how much talent this woman has?

It's a long post but well worth the time.

Allie's Toddler Talk.

Allie has the cutest little voice, as do most 2-year-olds, and I want to remember some of the funny ways she pronounces things and mixes things up.

Here's a sampling:
Love you = Luuvwu
Allie = Ouwie.
Goose= Geuwse
Julie= Juwee
See you later = See you later, Cwockocodiw (Crocodile)
Three = fwee
Swings = sings - this sometimes is very difficult to figure out what she really wants.
Piggy Tails = Peanut Tails
Big Ark= Be dark
Birthday= birday
And you should hear her version of the ABC song. Fun, Fun, Fun!

Of course, the funnier ones come out a lot right now but I fail to write them down as they come, so I forget.

Love our girls to pieces.
