Hyrum State Park, over Labor Day weekend.

This was our view. I know right?
To the west.
Miss E and A on the beach, throwing rocks into the Dam.

I think if Jason could wish one thing, it's that I wouldn't bring the camera most places I do. Say Cheese!
We hung out a lot and played games and roasted marshmellows. Allie threw fits about the wind. The wind is not her friend people. I'm not exactly sure why but she loathes it! We had to let her fall asleep in the car each and every night because of that darn wind, and then transfer her foggy minded body into the tent. All this JUST because there was a little wind.
Michelle colored with Ellyse but truth be told, I think she wanted the whole book to herself. :) Well.... do you see Ellyse in this photo?
We ate here. We won't again.
Mister C. Isn't he cute? She's not bad either.
Allie likes to hug Boozer.

It was a very nice trip and way fun to sit and relax and hang out with great company. Thanks be to the W's who provided this lovely trip!

E's weekend in August

Once a year, Ellyse gets to go on a trip with gma and pa E. up to Star Valley - their home away from home. She had a blast. I've never missed her so much in my life.
Meet Dixie, Ellyse's new found bestest friend. Which I think is just marvelous because Dixie didn't get to have any kids in this life.
Meet Nikki, Dixie's dog.
Dixie, Ellyse, and Nikki went on many walks together.
Ellyse loved to go the stream and throw rocks in. Gma C introduced Ellyse to the art of painting rocks. Ellyse painted a rock for Dixie. And mom. And dad. And Allie. And I think the rest of the inhabitants of Star Valley. It's TOTALLY doeable.
There's a pool there! Did I ever mention how much Ellyse likes to swim?

Ellyse thinks it's a shame she doesn't go more than once a year.

I don't know if J and I's hearts could handle more than that.

Doesn't Ellyse look so grown up in her make-up? This was after her dance recital. Sorry about the wavy yucky hair, I performed too and it was a stressful night. Do you see little Allie hiding?
Sup G?

A couple of fun photos

I really like Jason's face in this one. He looks like he's up to something.
Smoooooshiiieee face kiss.

Ironically, I heard this on the "Radio from Hell" show

Thanks X96

An answer

Thank you to all who expressed concerns or helped with E's sleeping problem. I thought I might be jumping the gun a bit. J took her to the doctor on Friday and she was diagnosed with a double ear infection and has since been on antiboitics...and sleeping like normal again. YAY!!!

Thanks again!

What the ???????

Sooooo.. I'm worried. It's been only the last two days but still, it seems so weird. I wondered if any of you have any advice and or experience with this. Ellyse has been waking up at 5 AM. On her own. She doesn't fall back asleep. She just sort of lays on the couch or watches TV. I ask her if she's tired and she says no. She says she can't sleep. I've asked her if she's worried about something and she says her jackets remind her of monsters. I guess I should try moving the jackets hanging on her pegs in her room. I'll try that tonight. But, I'm at a loss.

She's freakishly quiet too and I'm afraid one day I might mistake her for an intruder or something. Not the bigger problem... the bigger problem is what in heck is she doing up at 5 AM, not being tired. She still goes to bed at the normal time and yet is up 2 hours earlier than usual.

I personally think it may have something to do with her stuffy nose and or cold. Or I think it could be that she just started something BIG (Kindergarten) and changes are not always easy.

Any ideas?

Her 1st day...

I'm not sure who was more excited, me or her. We both couldn't sleep well the night before and both got up super early. I felt that rush of starting school just like she did. I'm so proud of her! She looked so cute and grown up and didn't make a fuss at all, she usually doesn't. What a great kid! Fun school days.

She says she's already made new friends, Olivia, Maddy, and Terrell. Doesn't surprise me one bit. She's such a socialite.

Miss E

"Star light,
Star bright,
I wish I had some makeup tonight."

Ellyse said this on our walk home from the store yesterday evening. Cute. She started Kindergarten this last Monday and I'll have pic's soon.
