Ellyse is a graduate.

Somehow the episode from Full House comes to mind about how silly it is to have a kindergarten graduation but alas, it was an event and a great one at that. Can I believe it's been a year? Nope, not hardly.

We got a little bored waiting for them to call her name so we pulled out the camera.

Her "cool" teacher, Mrs Cool. Yep, that's her name.

Congratulations Miss Ellyse! You super duper smart kiddo. Now you get to go to all day school. Yay!!!

Do you see it?

Do you see where the littlest of our bunch decided to cut her hair?

May be this photo will help.

Stinker pot!

ps. those are mosquito bites on her face and her poor little eye was swollen from one of them. It just looks like she has purple eye shadow on but man, was she a sight to be seen that day! :)

Hey Syracusians and West Pointers....

Syracuse - Just found out my little class will be performing for your heritage days on Saturday the 26th at 1 PM by the elementary.

West point - Also just found out that my little class will be performing at your West Point days on July 3rd at 1 PM in the park.

Super duper excited! So glad they were chosen!

The recital

Well, we finished out another year at Starstruck on Monday night with the recital and man, was it fun! So much better than last year's nearly 4 hour debacle! This year was quick, fun, and totally organized - plus 100 points! My little class did excellent. I was impressed. They danced their little hearts out and all their practicing the dance over and over and over paid off. Way to go girls!

Jason and the girls came to watch just the teacher's dance so I didn't get a video of my little class dancing but here is the teacher and Elite Emeralds dance if you'd like to see it.

Jason had no clue when the teachers were coming on stage so he only caught about two-thirds of the dance on camera but it's still good. All the teachers choreographed it together and it was so much fun to hang out with others who love to dance and can dance at about the same level and just have a good time. Yay for dancing!

Ha, ha, I know about half of you just gagged but for those of you who haven't ever tried it, you're totally missing out on what the COOL people do. :)

If you care, I'm mostly center stage in the back row the whole time.

Tonight is the night

Tonight is our big show at Starstruck! We had our dress rehearsal this morning and man, it went soooo much better this year than last years did! Like, total 180 from last years. I'm excited for it, although I know a lot of it will be babysitting the dancers who are not performing at the moment but it should still be fun. It's days like this that make me realize that I love my teaching job!!

If you'd like to come it's tonight at Syracuse High at 6:30 PM. I'd love to see you there!

Our super smart kids...

Recent conversation in our home: While coloring a map of the U.S. Cousin says - that's wezzeeanna (louisana), Allie: Cheeseyanna? Cousin: No. Wezzeaanna.

Moving on to another state, Cousin: This is Kansas, Ellyse: Where's Kansas? Cousin: Far, far away. Ellyse: So, in Syracuse?
