Big Storm

Our little Allie has some big fears of a few things.  One of them being wind.  We don't know exactly why but every time it's windy she becomes a little ball of static cling to my side.  When asked why she's so fearful of the wind, she usually says "I dunno."  But when pressed, it's as if she thinks everything will blow away when the wind comes round. 

Last night we had a pretty wild wind, thunder, and rain storm at dusk that kept up for a while.  She kept asking where her dad was and when he'd get home. (How cute is that?)  He was just at the store but even in our prayer she asked that he'd get home safely. :)  Which he did.  Anywho, at bedtime, fearing she'd not leave my side I assured her that she could sleep with her lamp light on till I went to sleep.  Luckily, it worked.  I stole this shot before heading to bed. 

Don't you think there should be a website of pictures just of people sleeping??  They are so peaceful.

Kindergarten Round Up

Oh my!

What a moment!  She loved it and wanted to do it all over again once it was done.  Yay for Kindergarten!

Easter Photo's

I noticed how many Easter photo's I had, but had not published. If I ever intend to make a book out of this blog, I'd like photo's instead of videos so, here goes....

Easter Egg dying.  This year was a poor excuse for egg dying.  First of all I cooked the eggs waay too early so the girls just had to sit and watch the eggs in the fridge till we actually took the time to do it.  Then I accidentally dropped the container holding all the hard boiled eggs...cracking them. So, I had to peel most of them before dying them. Then the dyes wouldn't really stay on the peeled eggs that well.  So yeah.  I guess  long as they got to dye eggs right??? Right?

 I guess they turned out kind of cool.  All tye dyed looking.

 The Easter Egg hunt for a neighboring city.  We had to run to get there in time.  We had a funeral afterwards so we were all huffing it in dress clothes.  People must of thought the crazies had finally arrived.   Proved to myself I could run in heels at least.

A good old fashioned Sunday activity

Allie and i were playing "I spy" in church during the latter part of Sacrament meeting. Earlier in the meeting, our elderly neighbor Wanda, had given a talk and was still sitting on the stand. I took my turn in the game and said to Allie, "I spy something gold."  


After a few wrong guesses, she asked if it was Wanda's hair.
